Every fintech pitch deck shows the checkout flow. None of them show the reconciliation job that runs at 2am reconciling what the ledger says happened against what the processor says happened — but that job is the actual product.
The checkout flow is the part users see. Reconciliation is the part that decides whether the business still has an accurate picture of its own money six months from now. Get it wrong quietly enough, and you find out during an audit, not a bug report.
